BEFORE...and AFTER

BEFORE...in 2003 I bought online  the following bareroots hostas each having one or two eyes. I planted them in Garden 3, in good topsoil, watered them properly, and hoped for the best:

AFTER... I was happily surprised at the rapid growth rate of these hostas, and in only one year, they had increased in size as you can see in the following photo taken on August 9, 2004:

STILL LATER...this is how this area looked like during 2006 after relocating Sagae and So Sweet and putting in Sum Total:

BEFORE ... in 2002 this is how the south-west corner of my lot looked like :

I started planting a few hostas during Summer 2002 as in the pic below:

...then added a few more during Spring 2003:

AFTER ... in 2004 three gardens took shape, namely Garden 6B, Garden 6C and Garden 6D.  After filling theses areas with hostas and some companion plants,  it now looks as shown in the following 5 photos:

Garden 6C is now filled up. I have rearranged this small garden by relocating some hostas:

I have rearranged this section of Garden 6C by transplanting and adding Wolverine, El Nino and Whirlwind...with Sum and Substance in the background as shown in the picture below:

BEFORE...This next 2003 pic shows Sum and Substance which was planted at that location the year before in 2002:

AFTER...in only five years, Sum and Substance has increased to the unbelievable size of 35"high by 80" wide.
No wonder why this superb hosta variety is IMHO the nicest and most spectacular....and should remain the most popular ever.
